Multilingual website: English, French, Arabic and Spanish

One website, up to four languages.

Not all your customers read the same language. We build a website that speaks to them in French, Arabic (right to left), Spanish and English, depending on your needs, on a single domain, with copy adapted for each audience.

Courtyard of a riad

The problem

  • Your website is in one language only, while some customers read Arabic, French or Spanish.
  • The Arabic version is machine-translated, left-aligned and hard to read.
  • Google shows the wrong language, or does not show your other versions.

What you gain

  • Every customer reads your website in their language, on their phone.
  • An Arabic version designed right to left, with legible type.
  • Versions linked to each other so Google shows the right language.

01 — What we do

  • Choosing languages based on your customers
  • Right-to-left Arabic version: layout, menus, numbers and forms
  • Copy adapted for each audience and approved by you before going live
  • A clear language switcher on every page
  • One address per language, hreflang tags and a sitemap
  • Room to add a language later if needed

02 — Who it is for

  • Riads, guesthouses and hotels welcoming international travellers
  • Dental practices and clinics seeing Moroccans living abroad or visiting patients
  • Businesses working with Spanish clients
  • Shops serving both local customers and visitors

03 — How we work

  1. 01

    We choose

The languages your customers actually use, none just for the sake of it.

  2. 02

    We adapt

The copy for each audience, based on the content you have approved.

  3. 03

    You approve

Each version, before it goes live.

  4. 04

    We link

The versions together for Google: addresses, hreflang and sitemap.

Why a single-language website loses customers

In Morocco, one business often speaks to several audiences: customers who read Arabic, others who read French, and Spanish or English-speaking visitors. A website in one language leaves some of them out, especially on mobile, where nobody stops to translate.

In a port city like Tangier, this matters even more, with cruise passengers, ferry travellers and Moroccans living abroad all looking for information before they arrive.

Arabic, right to left, done properly

An Arabic website is not just a matter of swapping words. The whole page is mirrored: the menu, the arrows, the order of the columns and the alignment of the forms. Phone numbers and web addresses, on the other hand, stay left to right inside the Arabic text. It also needs a legible Arabic typeface, not the default Latin one.

This website is the example: compare the English version with the Arabic version.

Adapt, don’t translate

The meaning stays the same, but each version is written the way you would say it in that language: Spanish is naturally informal, Arabic gets straight to the point and French stays a little more formal.

What Google needs to show the right language

Each language has its own address on the same domain, for example /es/ for Spanish and /ar/ for Arabic. Each page tells Google about its versions in the other languages with hreflang tags, and every version must point back to the others, otherwise Google ignores them (Google documentation). The sitemap repeats the same links.

You do not have to manage any of this: we set it all up and check that every version is properly linked. We do not promise any ranking on Google.

04 — FAQs

Questions we’re
often asked.

If your question isn’t here, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll get back to you.

  • We prepare it from your business’s content, never as raw machine translation, and you approve it before it goes live.
  • Yes. The website is built so a new language can be added without starting over; the addition comes with its own written quote.
  • It helps people understand, not decide: it gets your trade’s vocabulary, the tone and the Arabic layout wrong. Machine-translated copy always needs reworking before it goes live.
  • On the main pages, Modern Standard Arabic is clearest for everyone. Darija can work in a WhatsApp message or a contact button, if it suits your customers.
  • Each language adds copy to prepare and review, and the quote takes that into account. It sets out in writing which languages are included.
